Hello. I know there are different item types but I don't know what all of them do. For example, what is the difference between Magic Damage and Attack Damage? Thank you :)

Magic damage is for spells and Attack damage is for auto attacks although there are some champions who have attack damage scalings for their abilities you can check by mousing over your abilities and i believe if the number in parenthesis is orange its ad and green its ap also theres white for level scaling and red for health scaling

*ability power is for spells and attack damage is for auto attacks and some spells magic damage can be done by auto attacks as well. For example shyvanna and ww both do more magic damage than physical, even though they both are "auto attack based" champions

The items mostly give ability power which is for spells or attack damage which is for auto attacks.
