I don't wanna make this long, but in my opinion, Autofill shouldn't be in Ranked. I don't play Support, and don't find it fun and think it's dumb when I have to play it, especially in Ranked. I just played a game as Nami support and did a bad job because I don't play support. I know Autofill speeds up the queues but I'd rather win my promos in a long queue than loose them in a short one. Games are supposed to be fun and shouldn't have to be like this.
whichever team has more autofilled players that are clueless is going to lose. great way to determine the outcome of games

I find it funny how ppl complain about autofill. Before the System was implemented ppl always told the last pick "hur dur, dont be silly, sup's so easy to play hur dur..." Now that every one is forced to play support or any off-role in general now and then i laugh about their complaints: "i cant support/off-role, not my main-role", "i dont have ANY support-champs", "X-Role or feed".... To anyone who just considered one of the above: DEAL WITH IT! You are not the only one who gets autofilled from time to time. And here's a little extra tip: Maybe, JUST MAYBE asking nicely can help you to get another role. Threatening will only get you reports.

No one wants to play support, and therefore, everyone has to on occasion.
Autofill is a requirement in the world of role select in order to make sure that games even start.

I love auto fill. It speeds up the Queue times dramatically and it once again makes flexibility a meaningful asset. I like filling because I don't mind playing any lane, although I'm not equally good at them. But with the new champ select, people didn't have to learn more than 2 lanes anymore. Of course maining 1 or 2 lanes is still way better, but at least it's not completely useless to play the other 3 sometimes in normals.

There's literally a fill option for people that want shorter queues, you could simply pick mid/fill and that's it.
I don't get Riot and players that defend this trash feature.
Think about it this way guys:
If a player in your RANKED lobby says "First time _____" doesn't that annoy you that they are using RANKED to practice?
Then the same logic should make you mad at autofill. Because it is putting players into roles/champs they aren't good with and don't want to play.
People can complain about "learning other lanes" all they want. Why not master 1 lane instead of be average/bad at 5.
Don't be selfish, I hate support but I always play it every 1/3 games for auto fill protection.
The only 2 autofill features I want are even number of autofilled players per team and official role swaps so I can trade roles with autofilled supports.
Hey here is a thought, maybe learn all the roles to a basic degree.....and let people know you were autofilled, some will take support. I love the people that I trade mid for support, then they suck mid, I'm like what lane do you know? it's not hard to not suck at lanes....
There is actually a very simple way around this. If the queue takes more than 2:30 then I restart it. If I get a lobby and someone dodges, I start over completely. I never get autofilled, because that only happens to people in longer queue times. I just don't let that happen. If you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes from time to time I recommend this.
I think they need to at least remove autofilling adc and jungle.
Teams that have to put up with those are doomed to lose.
Hey, it's a much better system than the old ranked draft mode where first pick gets to pick their role. The probability of getting your role compared to today's draft pick is a crap ton less.
