Any words on Shen? @Riot

I just want to know how big the rework (you hopefully are planning for him) is going to be... the floating sword is rather embarrassing and you said that yourself. I also don't like how he has no sustain at all in his kit other than his shield (which is annoying to wait for the sword to fully come towards you to proc, but whatever). Anyway he's not in a bad spot, I just miss old Shen and his sustain a lot.

I was very upset when I found out not even his old animation from Ki Strike was kept. Also his walk animation is dumb and the model is unnecessarily big, but we all know that.

I mean... I already got my Shen S for the season. He's not even bad. What are you on about?

I never said he's bad, he's actually in a good spot now. He just doesn't fucking feel like Shen. Also he's not interactive at all, he is almost as bad as old Shen about interactivity.

Why would they rework him again? The rework is way better than the old one and he has like the highest hp regen in the game. He was basically irrelevant until they reworked him.

Because they said they'd keep his identity, yet not only he plays nothing like original Shen but he's a complete another champion. Why they didn't change his name?

Imagine if they reworked Garen but removed his passive OR his ulti. Would you be satisfied, as a player who LOVES Garen and that enjoyed a lot playing with him?

The blade gimmick is unnecessary and forced, they even said this themselves. Saying he was basically irrelevant means you have no clue what you are talking about so I'd rather talk to Shen mains or people who actually know something about what he did.

It's the same with all the reworked champs though. They don't feel like the old champs at all.

Every champion has their most iconic ability. Shen has his ult and it's been kept as a global teleport, which I'm very grateful of.

Garen's most iconic ability is Judgement. Not his passive and not his ult. Garen's been always about the "wait in brush and spin to win" meme.

Riot tries to keep the most iconic parts of a champion intact when they rework him/her. Sometimes, it doesn't turn out the way they wanted, or they just can't keep something that's outdated or wouldn't make sense with the new updated thematic.

No, his regen isnt realy that good. 8.5 Hp at level one, just like most toplaners. Darius and Sion have the highest base regen witj 10hp. Also Riot said that they missed the mark with the rework, and even if he is in a semmi good spot right now there are still many reason for fixing his VGU.

I love Shen. I like his model. I think his kit could be way more interesting, but it's pretty unique now. I think he just the right size (He's a tank and should look and feel like one) and he's a Warden, meaning you have better success at sitting on top of your own carries than theirs. If they went and changed his ult, he wouldn't be Shen at all.

I think Riot has neglected him big time. 1 min of voice over. No unique VFX on any skins. Constantly balanced around organized play because of his signature ability. Weird scaling (or lack of). Everyone's been waiting for a skin for 2 years now (actually before and after the rework). I love this champion but it makes me sad that the only champion I'm fond of thematically and playstyle-wise is being ignored in favor of Ahri, Jhin and Lux, or whatever champion is more popular. Champions that are designed to help and protect others are left in the muck while Master Yi gets his 2 skins a year.

What is the policy behind this? I've been trying to find a red post about this matter, but I can't find anything. Feels like Riot is keeping their mouth shut about things like this intentionally.
