Does anyone know what Class/Subclass Sylas is?

As the title says, I'm just wondering if we've gotten any concrete evidence on what Class/Subclass Sylas falls under.

I myself am personally leaning him in the Skirmisher to Specialist directions based on all the various things he has in his kit, as he takes something from nearly all of them. But he also has certain Fighter influences as well, coming from (I think) the Juggernaut side more than the Diver side.

Passive: Deal damage in a circle after casting a spell. Damage-dealing passive akin to those seen on Juggernauts, Skirmishers, Assassins and probably more.

Q: Damage-dealing Spell with small CC attached, somewhat like certain Auto-attack reset abilities like Crippling Strike (Darius W) . But also where the chains intersect, an additional damage and CC area is created, somewhat like the "Sweet Spots" of the Q for the reworked Aatrox.

W: Targeted Dash with a conditional heal AND execute-effect, with the conditions being that the heal is more potent the lower his health is, and the damage also increased the lower the target's health is. I can't say for sure whether the additional damage is TRULY an execute, but the increased damage the lower the health is suggests it, and I think this suggests more Juggernaut influences, with the conditional heal, like the one on Darius 's Q, AND the execute-effect some Juggernaut abilities have (Though they are usually reserved to ultimates, like the Darius Dunk or Garen 's missing health, or Urgot 's 25% execute threshold).

E: Dash that grants a shield, akin to Riven's E. But it also has a re-cast that acts as an additional type of CC in the form of a Stun, Dash and Pull (Sylas pulling himself to the target) all at once. So first, there's a Skirmisher influence in the form of the shield-granting dash (Riven E) , but also more Juggernaut or even Tank influences as his main, hard CC (Based on MY observations, anyway) being put on 1 ability.

R: Here's where the "Specialist" suggestions in my mind come in. His ability to steal ults gives him INCREDIBLE versatility, limited only by what champions the enemy team selects.

So I hope you see where my confusion is coming from. With all these various inspirations, sources and cues he takes from all these (and possibly more) classes, what Class/Subclass does he truly fall under?

I'm thinking he's a "Specialist" that has Fighter and Skirmisher influences. The thing that really ensures he isn't placed in one or the other of those, I think, is his Ult, which is of course, stealing other ults, allowing him to perform a myriad of functions.

I think they really want him to be flexible. He's got lots of shields and self-sustain, but he also has burst and mobility.

You could probably build him to be either an AP assassin with items like Luden's, Morello, and Lich Bane, or build him to be more of an AP bruiser/battlemage with items like Rod of Ages, Abyssal Mask, and Liandry's Torment. He's got basically limitless build variety because his kit is so general.

So if we were to try and nail him down to a Subclass then, I would personally say he's a "Specialist". Champions who do not "fit into a neat little box", because he has so much flexibility.

lolwiki has him down as a Skirmisher, which makes sense. He has cooldowns he has to work around to dish out the most amount of damage he possibly can before having to retreat because of those cooldowns. Even with 40% cdr, Kingslayer (W) has a 7 second cooldown, which is lengthy for his only sustain tool besides the shield on E.

Huh. How 'bout that. Well, overpoweredness or not, he might be the first Skirmisher that I (A dyed-in-the-wool mainly Juggernaut/Tank player) might try picking up then. Obviously he's more mobile than my usual tried-and-true champs, and the "Stealing Ults" thing would definitely take some getting used to, but he seems to strike just enough of the Juggernaut chords to pique my interest.

They weakened the heal when low, so I feel like he'll be well balanced on everything but some r situations and the power of his e's shield. He might be one of the most balanced mage fighters we've had in a while. I've been using him on the practice tool on the PBE to figure out combos and understand what unique builds I could do and what tricky combos I could do.
