so as some of you may know when you level a new account now it gives you the choice of what champion you want when you level up, I was presented with 3 choices, illaoi, riven and fucking garen. now the problem is that it gives you the champion shard permanent so whoever picks riven or illaoi could just disenchant the champion shard and buy 10 garens for it, of course a new player wont know this and will get fucked by this system.

Used to be Ashe, Ryze or Garen for tutorials.... Then you had to procure your own damn champion.

I mean blue essence comes out the ass by the time you pass level 30 and honestly if they enjoy the champion they pick they shouldn't be upset.
Between loot, honor rewards, mission rewards, and free champs, I'd rather be a new play today than a new player when I actually started in S2 and got almost nothing for free. No matter how ineffective a new player's selection is today, they're still getting way more than new players of old; especially when you factor in the cost of old runes which you had to buy.
I think it's more there for the fake diverse selection a player can have, and long time players can just see through it.
What about the pre-set runes and the painfully slow grind of unlocking summs/runes? It feels really unfair how limited tjhey are, even if they are new. They alreayd have pre-set runes and they aren't shown how to use the summs or runes once unlocked or what they go well with.
Do you imagine players learn to do math while playing LoL instead of learning math before playing?

They probably do that shit to encourage smurfing, which is unhealthy af for the game overall.
