Nasus either needs a buff or rework

Title. Season 7's update does no favor to him either. Still he has no mobility, no instant gap close, need a lot of time to farm up his q, gets harassed and poked badly in early games and does very little in late games as well because he has no mobility to reach out the glasscannons. The only time for him to shine is mid / late-mid game when he conditionally has at least 300-500 stacks 20 minutes in. Either way many lane-oriented champs can simply bully him early on or use skills to outmatch him earlier in game and then roam and gank other lanes while an average nasus player would just stay in lane and farm. Indeed late game Nasus can be very tanky but in a teamfight he does nothing useful other than withering a single enemy and dropping some spirit fires on the ground. He gets kited, immoblized and will get killed if hes alone being focused by 3 or more champs. Only a few matchups such as vs Jax, Yasuo etc gives him an edge over the opponent. Many people said stacks to win but its not that simple because late game everyone will have their builds maximized so yeah a combinations of mids and adcs can easily kill Nasus because his tankiness isnt as impressive as it sounds (after the dmg item rework). Some adcs like Vayne can even solo him if the player is skillful enough + has a qss. I couldn't find a legit reason to pick him in lane other than facing against some specific champs that are easy to counter such as Jax andYasuo

If he builds tanky and gets focused by 3 or more enemies in a teamfight, the enemy is probly going to lose unless they're fed. Nasus needs a weak early game cause his late game is ridiculous. And to be honest, his early game is pretty powerful itself against most laning opponents if you focus more on farming than killing (significant built in sustain).

However, I would definitely not be opposed to a rework. I hate infinite stacking in all its incarnations (Nasus, Veigar, Sion, and Kindred). Put a reasonable cap on that nonsense and give them a buff to make up for it.

We don't need a buff on this champ, really, the league need all, but this.

To the OP, I have to agree with you in that there really isn't a reason to pick him anymore. I've spammed Nasus many games but stopped playing him a whole show to pick up Darius and Yorick and looking to learn Trundle as well. He's going to need some work. I don't even want buffs, I'd rather get kit changes.

Nasus really doesn't need a rework or many changes. The only thing he truly needs is % Armor Pen on his E. This will make it so his team fight and late game matter.

I think the biggest mistake of most Nasus players is they have not evolved past the old build play style that was relevant in past seasons. TF and straight tank used to work but sadly this is no longer the case. TF and FH are no where near as good to build or efficient on Nasus due to massive changes/nerfs. Best core on him currently is a wave clear build which includes IBG, SV, Tier 2 Boots and then Titanic Hydra. this gives him exceptional wave clear without burning his mana by using E, the cone proc's life steal and the active givers him an extra AA reset. I usually finish with Deadman's/ Randuin's and thornmail. Split pushing in general has been a bad tactic for a while now on most champions. There are simply too many champions with the mobility and resources to stop your push and outright kill you, in 1v2 or 1v3 situations, even if you are well farmed.

Keystone's are another area that does not really help Nasus either but if I had to pick one Warlord's would probably be the best. It takes the best parts of Storm Raider's and Grasp into one and is not conditional on fighting with the enemy champion to see it's benefit. Is it as powerful as the individual parts of the latter? No, but it does give you sustain and some extra mobility with less conditions and you get 7% armor pen which is pretty nice vs tanks.

You guys just need to get better. You're blaming other people for your own failures. Learn to look at yourselves and analyze what you are doing wrong rather than making excuses.
