What the point of having a first and secondary role in dynamic que?

What's the point of me picking a first and secondary role in dynamic que if it's going to give me the 2nd role 4/5 games.

At this point the only time i get my intended role is if i role in a 5 man, otherwise im SOL.

My primary role is always mid and I get it most of the time? What are your first and secondary?

The system currently prioritizes getting you into a game ASAP and balancing the MMR of both teams for a good match. Primary over Secondary is a tertiary goal only looked at after you are put on a team that you fit into and is around your MMR.

There are probably tens of thousands of games waiting on supports at any given moment, and relatively very few games waiting on any other role. If support is your secondary role, then it is incredibly likely that there is a game waiting on a support that is also very close to your MMR. You can fit in the game, it is close to your MMR, the system puts you in that game now to minimize your wait time. Then it looks at if your primary role is available. It isn't, because you are the only person in the game willing to support. Thus you get to support.

Still it's strange: Taking support as a secondary role will give you support 19/20 times (at least), making it pretty punishing to take it as an off-role, thus reducing the number of players who queue as support.

At least in my case. I for instance wouldn't mind playing support every now and then, but since I will get nothing else, I usually don't queue up as one.

Solution perhaps giving your primary choice some kind of fixed percentage? Like when you play support (multiple times), the probability of getting another role goes up?

I'd gladly wait in 10 minute ques to gett he role I want every game honestly. Instead of being forced to never get to play my role.

Where as last season I got adc literally almost every single game. All this dynamic que has done is make it harder for me to get adc( the role i want) because someone in the game has signed up as wanting adc. I miss the days of pick order. shown here if you click on season 5 stats. i literally got to play hundreds of ADC games, where as i was only forced to play other roles very, very little. http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/34790332#ranked-stats

Quite frankly I'm frustrated by being forced to find people to play with if I ever want to get my role. As I don't always have 3-4 friends online to play.
