Still Struggling with Ranked
So if it gets to the point where I get to the promos for Silver 2, lose them, then abandon a match after losing lane hard to Ahri as Heimerdinger, is that a sign of something negative with my performance?

I think we all have our bad stints. I was placed s5, briefly dropped to b3, but now im at b1. Things will turn around
Yeah, the TLDR of it is that I tilt every time I lose a couple of times in a row. How should I go off of that?
Take a break, grab a snack, something to drink reset your mind and then go back and pick one of your best champs in the next game. Don't bring your last bad experience to your new one.
Dakka, throws happen so often that I never recommend abandoning after losing a lane. Enemy team gets cocky and begins splitting where your team can pick them off, snowball w/ dragon etc. The key to success is more tactical than it is mechanical. I've come back to LoL after being away for years and, despite not knowing any matchup and losing so many lanes because I don't know new champion capabilities, I made it to Gold 3 after winning 8/10 placements, and have now climbed to Gold 2.
I did this not because I land every skillshot, get every CS, or even kill my laning opponent. All these things are important, but the big picture is this: Do you know how to bounce back after losing? Do you lose your lane, tilt, start playing defensively, become reactionary versus objective oriented? Ward up and begin split pushing. Take down a tower? That's over 2 kills worth of gold for your team. You should always be pushing for an objective, or capitalizing on enemy mistakes.
This is why I play mechanically simple champions that allow me to focus on these tactics. Malphite climbed me to gold easily because his ulti can capitalize. Even if I'm losing, I ward up, see their team is split, ulti in, team picks off in a 5v3 and then we're back in the game.
tl;dr don't give up, think tactically, and stop worrying so much about small things like losing your lane. It's a small piece to the bigger puzzle.
Most people would suggest taking a break from the game. If you can't/don't want to do that, play a few normals.
