Why is standing still a viable response to failing Illaoi's Test of Spirit?

So, you can just stand in the same spot after it spawns a tentacle, and nothing happens. It won't drop overlapping tentacles. Nearby tentacles don't slap at you when it's time to drop more and they can't. Nothing. Illaoi's whole religion is to be in motion. She's supposed to be "teaching" opponents this lesson. And yet, there's this GLARING flaw in her entire kit, as well as her theme. You can outplay her signature move by quite simply standing still.

Riot reds? Any thoughts on how to make this less awful?

I thought nearby tentacles would continue to attack. If not, that should be changed.

It makes sense to me. When you're getting punished and being taught a lesson, typically the person is most receiving of the lesson is the one who stands still and pays attention. Those who run are fleeing their lesson and must be punished more.

Because if you stand still near a tentacle just to not spawn more of them, she can just slap you with her W and win. And if she can't slap you, it means you're not standing where you can CS, so she still wins.
