As a PBE player, I played preseason for the whole 2 weeks. I loved exploring the changes and having the new masteries.
And it's so much fun to play.
Yes, the games are stomps. But did anyone really like slow games where we waited around for one team fight to decide the game? As a hyper aggressive player who gets bored when my lane opponent just farms, it's so much more action and bloodshed.
IMO, the preseason changes are better.
I find your comment rather funny as my laning phase (bot lane) is longer than it's ever been... but the game itself is shorter. So in essence I spend more time in my lane doing the boring stuff and less time out of my lane doing the fun team fighting and objectives contesting with my teammates.
I legitimately thought the new masteries were supposed to give us MORE choices, they actually give FAR LESS. I feel more stuck than ever in my masteries "choices". Why can't I spend all my points in one single tree if I want to?! Where's the choice in that? Why do I (utility support player) have to share my tree with assassins?
ADCs are so overtuned right now that it doesn't matter who you're playing as a support and how well you're doing it. That, with the vision changes = I feel like I might as well be afk and no one would notice.
True sight being taken away from 
straight up SUCKS. It forces supports to have one free space for pink wards at all time if the enemy team has one stealth champion. I faced a full stealth team yesterday and it was a really frustrating experience with the current state of vision.
And as a person who's been playing support for the last 5 years... the lack of vision on the map and Riot making it so hard for me to compensate is giving me cancer.
The only positive points for me;
line of items buffed and active changed for the old Twin Shadows active (however, why do they no longer return to you to lower the CD if they fail to find a champion? This kinda removes its use for scouting, as you just wasted a 1 min-long CD active...)
