Getting tired of people being able to play with any rank above/below them in Blind Pick :P

It's nice that you get to play with your friends and what not in Blind Pick, even when they're completely out of your league. Sure you're having fun and stuff, but a lot of the times the randoms on your team aren't because they're busy getting dominated by higher ranked/experienced players. And yes, not everyone cares about this at all even in the slightest. Blind pick is usually for practice if you play ranked a lot, so you go there to try something new out, or hone your mechanics. When you're bronze-gold and you decide to play with your "higher ranked" friends, the other team will have people of similar rank or close to it (because it matches you with other people who invited their "friends", and the randoms don't always have a good time. We're mostly having to resort to the safest champs to play or ranged champs for top lane because that's all the enemy plays, since whenever they have higher ranked people on their team while everyone else is lower, they'll usually pick ranged to dominate the melee champs lower ranked/skilled players will pick.

I'm not particularly mad that everyone always does this, I just wish it was a little more fair because it's not very fun to keep getting dominated when all you wanna do is try a new build, champ, play-style, whatever, etc. Of course I can always invite my friends too, have good communication, maybe have them in the jungle, and reck anyone I'm playing against, but not everyone wants to have to rely on someone to play with them if they want to do good. I know I have room for improvement and I'm always learning new things and tricks. But when my laner(s') who is slilver/gold has their diamond or high platinum buddy playing jungle, ganks me as sej, lee, zac, vi, champs with hard engage, tf am I supposed to do lol. I'm warding, playing careful, sitting back when needed and even under tower, then getting camped and ganked from all sides of my lane, even sometimes behind me, while I'm stuck with a bronze jungler who doesn't even know what a lane is and is expecting to get carried by their plat or diamond friend, or just straight doesn't gank anyone acting like yi main who thinks sated still exists.

Basically what I'm trying to say is it would be nice if you guys (Riot) could make two different modes for Blind Pick. One: You're strictly only allowed to invite people of the same rank as you. Two: You're free to invite whomever you please, and will also be matched with people who don't care about others being a higher rank, or seek a possible challenge if they were to lane with higher ranked people.

It's pretty much a win-win. Want to play with your higher ranked friends? Go ahead, you'll be matched with people of similar rank on the other team too. Don't care at all? You're free to pick whatever one you want. Want a good challenge? Pick the second mode. Want a fair game? Pick the first mode.

This would be so much nicer. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

There is a problem with your conclusion. Think about it if you had to split up blind pick in to two sections, this would no doubt extend wait times and it would skewer to one side of blind pick. Also, there is a mode where you can play against other players of similar rank, and its called ranked. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Yup, but not everyone likes to take it (ranked) as seriously, which is why there is blind pick, where they don't have to be competitive. The way things are done in both modes are similar, but each have a different attitude and play style than the other. Just generalizing, blind pick may be more careless than ranked, so them playing ranked because they want people of similar skill level isn't a good idea as it would ruin it for everyone else who takes it seriously. Also pretty much almost any change to a mode will increase queue time, that should be expected, but that doesn't mean it would be a drastic change and increase queue time by minutes at all. Maybe a little, but it doesn't mean it would be ridiculous or unbearable.

Normal Queue was a separate MMR than Ranked Queue does. A player's rank means absolutely nothing when matchmaking in normal queues.

Blind pick is usually for practice if you play ranked a lot, so you go there to try something new out, or hone your mechanics.

Normal Draft is practice for ranked. Blind pick is for people just learning the game, who want to play a commonly banned champion or who don't want to deal with Draft Pick,

Oops, oh well. Aside from that small mistake, it doesn't change my point.
