So, with the latest new champion revealed I must say, Riot's love for knock ups is becoming less and less funny. Yes, it does make sense in terms of champion's theme and I am sure that all the champions released in 2015 will fit knock ups just as well.

What's the catch? Knock ups are a form of cc that is not affected by tentacity, meaning that they are significantly more powerful than the rest. And they do synergize well with Yasuo. I'm not going to go around producing teories about how Riot needs to sell more Yasuo skins though, that would be stupid. I'm just saying that it is a really weird trend and I'm curious if this is some kind of new balance policy.

For the record though, I'm glad that Rek'Sai has no CC outside of her knock up, giving every new champion and their mother a formidable set of cc even when it clearly goes against their designed role (see Kalista) is a trend way more dangerous than Riot's little silly thing for knock ups.

False. Knock ups are generally significantly shorter duration than stuns slows roots or fears. This is why they are not reduced by tenacity, because if they were their duration would be trivial.

Knock up allows riot to give a champion a short duration mini stun without it being trivialized by tenacity.

Whats more powerful a 1.5 sec stun or a .75 sec knock up? Even with tenacity the stun lasts longer. Its also worth mentioning that for the most part only junglers, tanky supports and top laners will have tenacity. So other forms of CC are significantly stronger than knock ups agaisnt most squishy champions.

"Significantly more powerful" if everyone starts the game with 50% Tenacity (which they don't.)

And if every knockup had the same duration as every other form of CC (which they tend to not.)

And if it was just a ploy to make Yasuo more OP (which it isn't.)

And if anyone actually gave a shit (which they don't.)
