Riot, what IS up with your matchmaking?

I have no enjoyment left whatsoever in playing normals. At first, when I started noticing I was getting matched against platinums and higher, I thought it was jus a random fluke of bad luck and I brushed it aside. But it kept happening. Again and again and again. It was driving me nuts, but I thought maybe it was just me. And then I saw the threads on the forum. Turns out this is happening to a lot of people, and especially in Teambuilder.

The games where I play against a majority of other silvers are now the exception. Why can't I play against my fellow silvers? I'm fairly certain we are the biggest demographic of players in the game. Heck, i'd be fine to play with the bronze mateys, since we're basically the same anyways.

Why do I have to put up with the higher tier players?

Why do you keep the ranked and normals MMR separated?

The only places where I can play League purely for fun are now bots and... ranked, and I believe it's against accepted ranked etiquette to treat it like a normal game.

I'm really not happy with my normal games being uphill battles against players that are miles ahead of me in skill.

I may be wrong but...

I think matchmaking is based on MMR/Winrate or some bs. So if they had been doing badly a lot in a row they could be matched with lower ranks...

Either way, I agree. I hate being a team of full silver 3-5s and seeing 2-4 Gold 5+s on the other team. Feels bad man.

This kinda stuff has been happening to me daily.

It's so discouraging to be trying to get to level 30 for the first time, and then get matched against Gold and higher players.

I just quit playing the game for about a week, or only play in the afternoons or REALLY late at night when there are less people around. Seems kinda depressing that I can't just hop in a game where everything is fair, and play with people around the same skill level as I am.

ARAM is the most fun I've had the past MONTH because of the lack of people who are ranked playing it. It's like a breath of fresh air to play a game that's FUN.
