I really think Ekko Jungle could come back with a few changes. Ekko mid is really good right now, but his jungling is pretty terrible. I think if his q, or the passive on his w did bonus damage to monsters, Ekko could become a viable jungler. I've been trying different clear paths and different builds, and his clear is just terrible, although he is pretty good at ganking, and at diving turrets even when built full AP, because his ult heal is really good.
I've been doing it for a long time to be fair, but I think ekko jungle is still pretty good. Granted, after some of he's newer changes I can admit I had to change some masteries around and what not, but I tend to have a pretty healthy first clear. Plus, like you said, his ganking is still strong. Maybe changing your build path or runes and masteries to see if that helps out.
Lastly, I Guess if I wanted something to buff him a little it would be to shorten the cooldown of his passive on minions/monsters.
