What I'd really like is a Skirmisher/Slayer support. Someone super mobile that fills the role of an off-tank and a bruiser. I guess slayers have more mobility and damage than Riot wants to put on a support, but wouldn't it be cool to be able to take someone like Akali or Fiora or Ekko botlane?

I've been doing Kled support. I do not recommend it for the inexperienced though. You have to ignore the flames, be accurate with bear trap, great at positioning, and have a good idea when to all in.
