Frozen Heart and Iceborn Gauntlet are any good?

When i play the game usually i feel these 2 items are underperforming vs other options.

For example item 3110 vs item 3075 : why would i buy the first, when the second one makes me more tanky + more usefull late (everyone has lifesteal) + got passive damage so dont even need ability spam to do damage Also item 3025 vs item 3068 : Its kinda the same, second makes you much much more tanky, deals similar or more damage on lane so pointless to spam any abilities.

So in conclusion: These blue items were created to spam abilites to deal damage, however there are manaless items which are dealing the same (or even more) damage without using abilities. Plus manaless items makes you much more tanky.

Thinking more, the blue items might make some sense in support role. When your job is the CC like with a Blitzcrank or Leona and you are not getting focused. But in teamfights it might be just still better to get more tanky... So items kinda equal in strength. But on top i feel its 100% better just go with red items.

It's all about how efficient your gold spending is.

Players have long since formulated the gold efficiency of items and it may surprise you to realize that Forzen Heart is far more gold efficient than Thornmail.

Thornmail is approximately 78% gold efficient with its health and armor whereas Frozen Heart is nearly 115% gold efficient with its mana, armor, and CDR.

Iceborn Gauntlet is about 94% gold efficient and Sunfire Cape is about 83% gold efficient.

That said. Some champions benefit more from less efficient items due to how their kits function and their respective roles.

Rammus, for instance, will generally rush Thornmail whereas a top lane tank such as Ornn will rarely build Thornmail and will usually rush Sunfire Cape.

Frozen Heart is generally the best choice item vs a champion who has lethality items but doesn't have damage that scales off Premitigation (Zed). For example, it's the go-to vs a Rengar or Kha Zix. The reason you vie for other items vs Zed is because his ult will scale premitigation which means that as long as he hit you, there's potential he'll overkill vs items that don't have HP.

Keep in mind it's the only Armor option with significant Armor that has 20% CDR, meaning it's really good on champions who can take transcendence as well, and it's good for low budget champs like supports (Most gold effective item)

Iceborne is generally becoming a specialized item for a small number of champions with large AD growth, but does have its place on certain champs (I wouldn't play Ezreal without one, and on Karma top it's Meta)
