Smurfing is evil... I lost game to 2 smurfs... one with 100% winrate and another with 78% and smurfing is evil. I am trying to get better and climb but then these horrible people are thinking that it's fun to smurf but it's not it is really evil and I am really sad and I am crying cuz I get so frustrated so if you are a smurfer then plz stop cuz it is not fair and it is not fun for anyone but you. You are a really bad person if you smurf and I want my LP back but I won't get them back cuz you are a smurf and you think that you are really good and you are good so stop doing bad things with your skill. Stop be evil and stop smurf cuz you hurt peoples feelings. Plz stop smurf it is really evil and it is really bad. It should be banned for life for smurfing. All smurfers need to look at themselves and think about what they are doing with their lives. Plz become a good human and stop smurf and stop ruin people's games plz.

Treat it like a practice and see how well you stack up to people better than you. I got a couple buddies that are Diamond plus that helped me climb to Gold on my own last season.

This argument does not work. This only works if the player you are playing against talks to you after the game and tells you what you did wrong and why it's wrong and what you should do instead and then playing vs you again so you can do the things you should've done the first time.

You learn NOTHING from a player that is way better than you. You will just get fucking rekt from lvl 1 and you have no idea why and you can't do shit throughout the entire fucking game and then you'll get shit talked by the shit smurfer and your team.

Smurfs are toxic to the health of Ranked. Riot not activity banning those that troll lower Ranked "For Fun" is bad for the game.

Riot actually says Smurfing is not allowed they just dont do anything about it.

I get that smurfs are a problem but how do they determine if someone's smurfing or not unless they actually say it in chat?

It's an issue to be sure, but fixing it would probably cause even bigger problems.

Why? Because they win most games?

That could mean they're smurfing but they could also be:

  • Familiar with MOBAs like DotA2 or HotS
  • Using a fresh account since their old one got banned, hacked, or something
  • Just plain good at the game

Smurfs are annoying to deal with, but if Riot started handing out bans for people having a high winrate, a lot of innocent folks would be pwned as well. Unless you have a good suggestion, there really isn't anything they can do about it.
