I don't think muting should be an option.

I think that allowing people to mute other people just allows for the deconstruction of teamwork. Even though the feature is for muting toxic people I've only seen it be used by toxic players whenever their slightly under-preforming teammates try to explain their actions. If you can't her the rest of the team, you can only communicate by pings. If you can only communicate by pings, more complicated strategies become nearly impossible. IF you can't execute complicated strategies, you can't win. Riot is pretty much allowing toxic players to leave their teams to die.

I don't think you should do that because if they're just a bit toxic but they do something pretty good their mood could lighten up a lot

mute can be used to block out toxic players which can make it easier to focus on the game

Usually they go off and do there own thing, get ganked, and then feed.

i agree a that lot of people misuse it and mute people they shouldn't.. but frankly even ONE game with a teammates you NEED to mute makes you realize its still worth it to have it the mute feature

Ping where the ward is, ping that you're staying in lane, ping the tower you want to take. It's not hard

I grew out of muting and blocking people almost two decades ago when I finished high school. There is no feature like that in reality when dealing with a person face to face. I just deal with the person and finish the game. Not that difficult.
