@Meddler Malzahar Jungle Killed Off by Nerfs

I have been playing a lot of AP Malzahar Jungle lately, and it has been working pretty well. That is until the nerfs to the voidlings. It is a nerf that had to come. I understand that as I too have had to face it down bot lane. But this nerf has eliminated Malz jg because where the Large monsters deal 2 damage to the voidlings, they had 3 health, so they could still get a hit or 2 off before they were killed. And if you did it right, you could juggle their aggro and keep them alive. But now that they only have 2 hp, they are 1 shot and sometimes don't even have the time to spawn other voidlings in leaving the malzahar with 0 clear speed and having to back after 2 camps. So i propose that if at all possible, you guys test moving Large Monster damage down to 1 damage to voidlings and adjust the small monsters to maybe .5 per or .66 per or something like that. This way it doesn't effect malzahar support and we are back to where we were with it taking 2 hits to kill the voidlings and I can play my malz jg again.

TL;DR: Voidlings are now 1 shot by jg. Please look into making the Large monsters deal 1 damage to voidlings and the small monsters down a similar ratio.

Thank You

You have to tank hits for your voidlings now, and also you have to build like a utility champ usually when playing malz jg

Its not really viable unless you want to stay bronze / silver. The main reason is that you spend so much energy trying to stay alive. Getting to level 6 takes soo much longer because jungle clear is much slower, and ganking lanes is much harder because Malz is so much further behind say a Lee Sin (OR any other standard Jg).

Malzahar Jg used to be successful but its not anymore for serious competition,

If Riot would bring back Hitpoints to the voidlings, and allow them only to multiply for Jungle Camps, Drag and Baron (but NOT Champs), then he would be able to Jungle again, without over suppressing the Support lane. However, they still need to bring back frenzy as without frenzy the voidlings can not sufficiently reach mobile champs, and let's face it... most of them are mobile.

Before this recent change, I always had full health after the clear and my clear times were comparable to almost anyone because the voidlings took the aggro and they were able to get off multiple hits. But now they can only take 1 hit apiece and it eliminated the clear time and health. Before the nerf, I was able to shit on lee sin's. The only jungler that I had any problem with was Xin. But that was only after he got his full jg item. And I had plenty of gank potential because the Space Aids gives the voidlings movespeed towards the target. And the silence extends the length of the space aids.

I sort of disagree, Before Malz gets his ultimate, there was never a time (even since pre-nerf) that a Malzahar could crap on a Lee Sin (or any mainstream Jungler) In fact, he is very easily countered by most junglers. Shyvana, Lee Sin, Xin, Jax, WW, Rengar all over power him 1 v 1. The problem is that the voidlings, while powerful, cannot chase. So all they have to do is run away until the voidlings die, and then re-attack.

Malz's success was from avoidance and trying to gank when he could. After the nerf, he can't even do that. Since he can't clear without being damaged too much his leveling is adversely affected. And he can['t effectively gank as he under-leveled too much.

I had plenty of success before this change against invades. They can't fight me while my voidlings are active. adn if they do, they will be quickly overpowered by the voidlings. And i can run away and ignore the enemy jungler if they are trying the kite them out til they die strat. The speed up that my E gives the minions is enough to chase them away. If they are stupid enough to fight me, I overwhelm them. and If they try to wait me out, I leave. That being said, It was never OP enough that I actively went into their jungle and tried to fight them there because i wasn't likely to kill them before their team collapsed. But i never had a problem with enemy junglers trying to fight me in my jungle. And i have a decent amount of gank potential even before 6 because if they are pushed up at all and i can get behind them, I can likely overwhelm them for a kill if they don't have an immense amount of AOE like riven and illaoi. And yes I agree that I can't even do that right now because of the nerf. Which is why I am trying to get them to change the damage the monsters do to the voidlings so that he can actually have clear so that I can actually have a chance to jungle like before. I'm not saying that I crapped on the lee sin, especially if he was really good. But unlike most junglers, I had a chance to fight him because I could kite his q behind my minions and I could put out as much damage as he could even pre-6.
