I'm tired of all this special treatment that sup mains get...

WinTheWarOnPants··4 votes·2,060 views

All these posts like "I'm not gonna apologize for ksing" just shows how much people put with just because you play support. If you ks as a sup you are FIALING at being a sup. It's your JOB to feed your adc NOT to screw him over and feed yourself. If you are bad enough that you don't know how to stop attacking when the enemy is low then FREAKING APOLOGIZE! at the very least. Also, item 2049 see this item? BUY IT!! every... single... game... or get reported. [slayer-jinx-unamused] EDIT: I have achieved victory as the best shit poster! at -46 i was able to farm the most downvotes. I want to thank all of you who lent me your salt. No hard feelings it was a ton of fun. To be clear I am actually a very heavy sup player and Velk'koz sup is one of my primaries XD. Don't try to ks, but obviously stuff happens and you just gotta "kill secure" :^). Also, you really should buy item 2049, but it's obviously not reportable if you don't(seriously tho you should buy it at some point). Have a nice days guys! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

If you get "ks'd" by a Support, it is your own damn fault for not filling the role as damage dealer well enough.

dmg is dealt in rotations. If you aren't smart enough to stop attacking at the last second then your are simply a trash sup.

Or you're trash at last hitting. That's like, the MOST IMPORTANT basic to understand as an adc. If you can't even do that, you're probably bad.

"Its your job to feed your adc" where exactly is this stated? Do ANYONE else than ADC mains say this?

A fed support can often do a lot more for the team than a fed adc. Bot lane is a partnership - the adc isnt supposed to get super fed so that they can one man army their way through the enemy team, they're supposed to rely on teamwork to deal damage. If the support gets the kills and the adc gets assists that yields gold for both, and yields a much stronger bot lane in general.

Have you ever experienced the sheer terror of a fed blitzcrank/thresh/leona/zyra/karma/annie/brand? These things can duel your mid laner and win.

"A fed support can often do a lot more for the team than a fed adc." then they wouldn't be called a "sup" nice troll tho.

redniwediS4 votes

All the ADC brings to the table is damage. Other positions also have damage.

The support brings utility. Other positions can have utility, but often don't. The ADC rarely brings a significant amount of utility.

If you want to be technical Trekkorm is correct.

Sadly, not a lot of people understand this and will flame their supports for accidentally taking 1 kill...

I main poke/heal supports, Nami and Sona being my best. If I happen to get a kill I always apologize, but it really helps with my poke, especially with Sona

Trekkorm1 votes

I used to main soraka before her rework, now my main support is Taric, but i'm also very strong at Braum whenever he is on the free week.

I often get A LOT of kills as these two, because they can do extreme amounts of damage to opponents that underestimate them.

(Example) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAYGGvo83ow&list=PLXZGKfAx5-8ePCVfLrNtOo839jgr7km6s&index=3&t=2s

luckily in the higher ranks you rarely get adcs that complain about who gets kills, but especially in preseason i've been getting a lot of vaynes and ashes crying ks when they have 20 HP left and i kill the enemy caitlyn.

I never apologize, however. Bot lane is a partnership. Your support is your partner, not your slave.

Exactly.

I mean, I'm silver II and I don't usually get that many adc's that flame me for getting a kill, but every once in a while I get the one adc who has a bad attitude.

I never try to take kills on purpose usually, but sometimes Nami's W bounce from heal to damage takes an enemy by accident (it bounces automatically, what am I gonna do) and the Sona Q or auto does too much damage than I thought it would and takes a kill.

The only time I take a kill intentionally is if it looks like my adc is about to die, and that's usually when I get flamed for it. However, as a support, it is my job to protect them and if I feel like they are going to die I WILL take the kill to keep them alive. If it is an accident I always apologize and say I didn't mean to and its usually fine, but if they start flaming me for taking the kill as they were about to die I explain to them why I did it, and if they want to keep throwing a tantrum, that's on them.

Tbh I have the most problems with this when I support Vaynes lol

Trekkorm1 votes

I actually got a plat 1 vayne that complained. Yeah, it mainly happens with vayne players/mains.

According to this guy and many others, "the support's job is to get their -ad CARRY- kills, else they cant carry."

Because remember, the fact that kills yield about as much gold as 5 minions doesnt mean a thing. 1 kill > 90 minions.

Sigh...

Whenever adcs complain i put in extra effort to get the kills. Just because i can.

If my adc is too weak to get them to begin with, i'm probably better off with them in the first place.

Rabblerouser8 votes

As long as you get the assist, you're still getting fed, actually.

Repeat after me. "A kill is a kill."

  • You still get assist gold, if you got at least a hit off.

  • You still get the benefit of lane dominance, allowing you to farm and do whatever the hell you want with that time the enemy lane is down a man.

All you've lost from a ks is a bit of potential.

I assure you, though. A lot of support mains (and I do stress "mains") DO apologize (or want to but typing is time that could be spent actually helping) since they KNOW how important it is to feed their ADC since they KNOW their build and kit are more designed to allow playmakers to make plays... and less about the supports making plays themselves. The ones being jerks are probably autofills.

If I take a kill and an ADC isn't a complete douche about it, that's fine. But if it's the typical "useless support" "garbage jungler" "it's always someone else's fault" typical Vayne talk, then even though I still work on supporting them, I'm not apologizing if I accidentally take a kill. And I only support them until laning phase is over, then the diva's on their own.

Look at your own behavior and see if it's toxic enough that they don't care about you. Which, from this eloquently and respectfully worded OP... I'm willing to guess is the case.

S0kaX7 votes

I guess your report value counts as much as almost nothing, also since when it's the support's job to let the get the kills? It's our job to let the adc cs, not kill everything

Penns2 votes

Gold is generally better on carries than on supports that are strong because of their utility, not their stats and expensive items, thats why.

S0kaX3 votes

yeah, but that doesn't mean gold on support is useless, it really helps when you are going with an AP healer

Penns3 votes

Its not useless, but like I said, its better on carries. So supports should at least try to give them the kills, the extra gold is definitely gonna be better on the Draven than on the Janna.

S0kaX3 votes

well as a support I don't try to steal kills, but when I do and adc bitches then it's his fault he can't kill it and it's also not my job to feed him every single kill

Rabblerouser4 votes

That's if you're playing full utility champs. Some supports can still do good with the gold (Sion, Brand, to name a couple).

The pure DAMAGE is still best on carries but I'll repeat from another post... all you've lost from a killsteal (accidental or not), is potential.

A dead laner is a dead laner. You still get assist gold. You still get a window of time that they're down a man, allowing you to do** SO MANY THINGS** besides moaning about your support like a diva in allchat.

Penns2 votes

Those arent really supports imo but even they shouldnt just take kills because they feel like it. Yeah its not the end of the world but adcs are one of the most item and gold reliant champs in the game.

Rabblerouser1 votes

Guys, don't downvote this. He does have a point. Though I disagree about them not being supports. They are just not in the traditional sense.

Supports are starting to shift from the passive Jannas and Sorakas to aggressive CC machines. Brand, for instance, was added to the recent support-only month-long free rotation.

Support isn't a style of play but a role with various playstyles that's currently seeing an evolution in gameplay with new love from Riot and a genuine push to improve support enjoyment for the health of the game.

That said... I HAVE carried a game as Taric before. - Fun af.

Penns1 votes

Idk, with the new items and stuff, Janna, Soraka, Karma, Nami and so on still look rather strong. But Id definitely rather have a Brand support "steal" a kill than a Soraka lol.

I'll stay with my Thresh. He's my babe.

But Taric is super fun too. Specially when I feel outraaaageous like him. <3 I like to touch Ezy's booty when I'm playing Pink-Taric. That skin is hilarious.

But Thresh... Thresh is in another level... He can take my body and my soul !!! Fangirl scream

Rabblerouser1 votes

I got Taric to level 6 before I realized I hate the short range. Though I might go back if I'm ever having to deal with a passive lane or solo queue.

Sion's my bae, though. Great poke for a tank with his E. Two knockups mean he works well with CotC. He's a pretty decent initiator, what with W shield, CotC, knockups for peel and hsi E for soft peel/armor shred. Hard CC can interupt your your Q, though.

Sion's just... fun. Though he sometimes needs an aggressive ADC to get things done.

When I play support I don't apologize for my mistakes. You know it was a mistake, I know it was a mistake, let's move on and focus on the game. There are better things to focus on after all.

That said if I end up supporting an ADC that thinks a "KSing" support is going to screw him over I'm just going to go roam and support the other players on our team. Support's job isn't to babysit after all, it's to support the team with the utility damage focused champions refuse to bring. I can do my job without having to deal with people like you.

Likewise if my support starts getting kills and I'm the ADC do you know what I do? I buy a cull and tell them everything is fine. I ask them to not babysit me because they can be a better help to our team if they roam, and have them help me either fast push the enemy tower down in bot lane, or have them roam because our tower is going to fall soon anyway. This extends the lane and gives me better, albeit situational, access to farm. With smart wards I can avoid fighting without jungle/support assistance, and my support can put their gold to good use.

TLDR: Get over yourself and learn to be flexible, rather than toxic.

People like you are the reason I will dodge every game I get the support role.

Nothing feels worse than having a self absorbed jackass like this guy as your adc flaming you the entire match for "stealing his CS " when you are last hitting with the execute minion starter item.

Also, why are you crying about 3 potions worth of gold? A kill is a kill.

I'd rather KS any day because I was kill securing rather than let that champ get away with a sliver of health or have my adc die while overextending to get the last hit.

Anyone on both sides of the argument post shit for upvotes is a circle jerking karma whore.

Anyone who actually has the balls to do what they type in game is a fucking idiot.

Some supports KS, some don't. Some ADC freak out, some don't. Some care about this behavior, some don't. Deal with each person on a case-by-case basis. There is no morality when it comes to whatever you talk about.

Unless it's a pentakill deny. Always steal it. You gotta earn it to talk shit. If I can steal it, you didn't earn it.

I have tried to feed my ADC many kills in my day. Too many times it results in the enemy getting away. Now days, my ADC needs to contest me for the kill. It is MUCH better if the ADC gets an assist while the enemy ADC is being denied farm and EXP

Then go play Support then

Penns2 votes

I kind of agree.. its fine if a support takes a kill in a close fight or something like that, and he doesnt need to apoligize for it but supports shouldnt complain about "not being allowed to farm/kill wards" and "having to buy Sightstone" lol.

Atreus Jones2 votes

When I play, i'm an adc who doesn't mind. So what if I didn't get that ONE kill, or that other ONE. I play a lot of Jhin and when you play him you gotta get used to the idea that you sometimes aren't gonna be able to do enough damage to stop the ks, especially if your support is very aggressive, like my Braum

Rabblerouser1 votes

You're one of the cool ADCs, then. :) Though I'm guessing, from your name, that you've been through the hell that is support main... and that makes you better equipped to deal with issues like sup ks's.

Riot's doing better on making support more visible. Though another big issue with support (which is harder to fix) is the sheer amount of CRAP supports have to deal with.

UsiTsukino2 votes

Pfff. I'm main support, and when I play adc (one of my worst roles), I don't give a Tahm if my support or my jungler/mid laner (in a gank) gets the kill. Why? Because:

"RabblerouserGT (NA)

You still get the benefit of lane dominance, allowing you to farm and do whatever the hell you want with that time the enemy lane is down a man. benefit of lane dominance lane dominance dominance"

Why? Because minions wants me to hug them.

Wiiiiiii ~

And if I'm getting rekt, I'll tell my support to go and help team. I'll try to catch-them later by getting cs, assists and other objectives. :D

PD: Grab the Lantern and let it go ~

We're not asking for special treatment. We're asking to be treated s equals. We all have our stories of adc's who yell at us and call us failures because we accidentally (or not by accident if the adc isn't in range to get it) taking a kill.

And we're not required to buy sightstone. You're not allowed to report for someone not buying an item.
