Ranked Lock In

Was it absolutely necessary that you have to press the lock in button to lock in your champion in ranked games? i mean why is it being counted as a dodge if you don't lock in? i feel this is unnecessary and should be changed

Locking in picks and bans ensures that you're present and aware of what's going on in champ select, at least for some of it. This helps cut down on taking the wrong rune page or summoners, picking into a counter, letting a terrible team comp happen, etc.

Basically, Riot expects you to be active during champ select. It's part of the game. Don't be lazy.

I did this once. I am sad to say that I was a support Soraka with Dark Harvest and Smite. Locked in champ and forgot to switch everything else.
