Riot, I am Not Having Fun Trying to Win the Lane/Champ Lotto

I'm not having fun being forced to waste my time - either in game, playing a role I don't want to or out of game waiting on a dodge penalty to expire because I was forced to choose between that or a 20+ min game I didn't want to be in. You guys keep making sweeping changes (and taking away player choice) to benefit what, 5%?, of your player base who are stuck with long queues in high elo ranked games. You need to stop catering to ranked, at risk of losing your core consumers.

You are making this game less and less fun to play. If you want to get off work and play a _normal _ game or two on the champion you want, in the lane you want, why is that not possible? I really don't feel like the ability to do that is asking too much. Despite its flaws, that is one thing Teambuilder did perfectly. I just feel like you keep taking steps backwards. I had more fun playing this game a year ago than I do now. I have played since 2010, and I can honestly say that my enjoyment with LoL is at an all time low. I am frustrated on a daily basis - every single time I don't win the lane/champ lotto - usually multiple times a day.

The purpose of League of Legends is to provide a competitive environment pvp based gameplay with as much balance as possible while also trading out what is a strong pick and what is a weak pick every month or so to keep things from getting stale. That's why they pay attention to the top 5% of players rather than the bottom 95%, because the top 5% have mastered the game, to a certain extent, and something being strong up there or weak up there usually means a poor kit or number problems.

Now, onto the whole autofill thing, I don't disagree with you, getting a role you don't want is both frustrating and boring most of the time. For this very reason, I am a strong advocate of getting rid of blindpick. This gamemode is usually highly toxic at the sake of low que times. 9 times out of ten, at least 1 person won't be happy with their role, if not 2, leading to trolling, toxicity, or auto-locking, all unenjoyable experiences to every party involved. For these reasons I believe blind pick should be scrapped.

After blind pick is scrapped, it will bring a lot of players that qued up for that into Draft pick, or a revamped teambuilder. This will defeat the need for autofill, because there will be enough players to fill the gaps in draft, and for those who don't want to go through the whole ban phase can go into teambuilder.

Of course, this isn't a perfect solution, but you won't ever find one in a game as complex as League of Legends. There will always be positives and negatives, but I believe removing blind pick would solve the autofill issues and bring a more enjoyable experience to the majority of players.

Remove Blind Pick.

Bring back Teambuilder.

It all comes down to the reality of what you are doing every single time you click Play: I want to play X (which for most players consists of a role or two and a group of champs in each) for the next hour.

Autofill destroys this experience in mid to low elo for a huge number of players, I.e. those who can only play 1 game or two a day (if that), and those wanting to become more competitive in a specific role (which LoL and Riot defines as one of 5 clear-cut positions).

With a draft mode the only option available in any Ranked mode, role selection is needed. In most Elos, the addition of role preference and role assignment at the start of Season 6 solved nearly every single issue of blind pick (apart from queue times and support popularity).
