Assistance with macros

Hello, everyone. I have a laptop with multiple programmable macros on the keyboard, which I programmed to upgrading abilities, emoting, and sending the message "I hope you all have a swell time!" in team chat. That last function worked, but the others did not. I do not see this as cheating, seeing as they're all programmed to perform a single action per button, but I will stop trying if it turns out that it is. Any assistance provided will be greatly appreciated.

If it's not spammable, it's good.

Remember, kinda like a source engine game like TF2; if you spam something you'll see that command line pop up again and again. That could trigger the report bot sensors or what not.

I only recommend additional buttons through an advanced mouse rather than a macro. For example, it's much better having BorK in the palm of your hands. [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

I'd like to point out a few scenarios in general.

  • Complex messages regarding the game: mid missing, want blue, lane opponent used flash, dragon free, and so on. (punishable)
  • Lee ward jump, and other combos. (punishable)
  • Typing out simple 'gj' messages (okay)

Since Riot isn't divulging any details regarding their anti cheating software then I would strongly suggest that you do NOT use macros, whether they're intended to aid you with skills, communication, or overall just a pat on the back.

While Riot may or may not be able to distinguish one type from another, there is no guarantee.

If we also consider that Riot's internal policies regarding these matters may change in the future, so something you did now, could one day become punishable, even with a retroactive effect.

ask Riot about your issue. it sounds like its their job here.
