No. New champ select is garbage. It makes people think they are going to be able to pick a lane/champ that they want... but when that doesn't happen, because its terribly implemented, people dodge.

I posit that queue times are longer now than ever.

At least with team builder I could wait all that time and be ASSURED I was going to get the lane/champ I wanted.

Why not just set it so that I can pick the lane I want TWICE. I haven't gotten my primary pick twice in a row, ever.

My queue time is about 10 seconds. I'd contend that they're shorter than ever now.

Team Builder was never a queue available for Ranked. With the old Draft Pick you had ~65% chance of getting your preferred role, and diminishing chances of getting your secondary roles. For me, Mid was my primary, ADC/Sup my secondary. I had a 22% chance of getting my secondaries, which meant I was on a role I was terrible with 13% of the time. That 13% is now 0%. That's improvement.

Dynamic queue IS a good idea on paper.

But it took what we LIKED about team builder and skewed it in such a way that its made people vehemetly angry at it.

Dynamic queue is queuing up with multiple people in ranked. Different from the new Champion select

I just got a 30 minute lock out from the game for queue dodging. When I didn't dodge. The game animation was lagging, and when it was my turn to pick, I was unable to because of that animation lag. Even though I have my client set to not play any animations.

Also, ten seconds from when you press queue until you are in a group is all well and good. But when you're starting from zero to actually PLAYING the game its a lot fucking longer than that.
