Champion Reveal: Jhin, the Virtuoso

Once again rito releases a champ with

  1. a chamber
  2. now at least its a four shot 3)probably op with thunderlords yet again... wait not probably DUH!!!
  3. obviously going to be very overpowered, but never gonna get nerfed.
  4. gonna be like the donger. a pussy champ literally all you do is hide behind mister malphite my friend, then w, q, ult, and then u done... umm rito... did u think about what happens if u make the range smaller for w? maybe remove the execute and 100% crit on the 4th bullet in exchange for just extra damage?

idk i think its better played in midlane or as adc than anything else

IDEAL BUILD AND PLAYSTYLE (but what do i know)

start your w as its fucking op just aa two times on a minion, get level 2 first, then aa once on enemy, w, aa, q, ignite, first blood.

I dont think you need to build as much ad on this guy as you think. you dont even need to worry about mana. just go bloodthirster and blade of the ruined king and build whatever u want after...

(suggestion is to build move speed as the reveal says he is slow.)

Suggested Build: starting items: item 1036 item 1001 item 2031 item 2003

end build: item 3072 item 3156 item 3139 item 1306 item 3742 item 3071

i think i might be wrong but this can go very good or bad...

the more health and movespeed you have, the more u dont need peels. He has a very nice set of self peel but its so useless as i am assuming he is so slow.

in the midlane u want to go summoner 12 andsummoner 14 as you are so slow u are going to lose sooo much cs

but maybe summoner 6 is viable... idk?

if u go adc u obviously gosummoner 4 summoner 7

or summoner 12 summoner 7

as for him in general... i like having another overpowered champ in the game... one that again Yasuo can kill so easily HAHA IF ZED IS DEAD, AT LEAST YASUO ISNT!!!

K thanks guys for reading if u liked it add me ingame: yolohoboswagnoob

You're going to build BotRK, an on-hit item, on a champion who by definition can not increase his attack speed and therefore uses the passive less efficiently than pretty much any other champion that exists? I'm not seeing the logic there. And why would you skip out on flash on a completely immobile and squishy champion? That's not gonna work out well. Even with as little as we know about him right now, I'd say you're making some very bad predictions for him.

Honestly, I think most of your assessment is pretty incorrect. You're making huge assumptions about his power level without knowing anything about his actual damage, or about how tuned the limiting factors on his kit will be. Those are the major determinants of whether or not he'll be overpowered, but we don't know jack shit about them. That's a big problem.

did u think about what happens if u make the range smaller for w? maybe remove the execute and 100% crit on the 4th bullet in exchange for just extra damage?

Even if he is overpowered on release, neither of those changes are going to happen. I can guarantee you that. Nerfing or reducing things which are unique aspects of the kit is a terrible way to do design. If nerfs are necessary, removing generalist power and straight numerical advantages while leaving unique advantages intact is almost always the best option.

Feel like Jhin's release is kind of un-needed. They could have literally reworked Caitlyn and she would be Jhin...like seriously Riot? Jhin's Traps and Ult would make much more sense on Caitlyn thematically and gameplay wise.

item 3153

This is a joke, right? Blade of the Ruined King on Jhin? If that's what floats your boat, but I'd prefer not to buy a useless item when there are better items. Buy item 3031 instead. You get much more AD (plus 20% Crit Chance, which gives him additional AD on that) and Jhin's "less damage on Crits" is nullified.

3)probably op with thunderlords yet again... wait not probably DUH!!!

Actually...if you even try to use that build of yours, Warlord's Bloodlust will be much more effective. Even if you're not building a Crit Chance build, Jhin's 4th auto is a guaranteed Crit; thanks to that, you'll get additional Life Steal from that and the temporary +30% AS further increases your AD for your next 1-2 auto attacks after you reload. Though I don't know if you'll be able to last when you have Blade of the Ruined King on you. Perhaps item 3156 would be better, thanks to the AD, MR, ArPen, and shield; as well as the AS, SV, and LS when is Lifegrip Passive triggers.
