She's really strong in Solo Q. That's basically what she has going on.

Heal on shen what? Also build thornmail and our frozen heat and she's pretty easy to handle.

I kinda curious how to deal with a Fiora, I see a lot of them carry lately.

I can answer that!

Fiora's key weaknesses are:

  1. She has no poke...at all...she can literally only hurt you if she using her Q to dive you or if you let her walk up to you

  2. She has no CC...at all...hard CC completely hoses her attempts to trade early

  3. She has no wave-clear until she can get Tiamat

  4. She has basically no escape unless she leaves an enemy minion to dash backward to after she dashes forward, meaning she can't use it for damage - with the stacking MS on her E, she can try to run after she dives and trades but she's still really vulnerable

  5. She's squishy and a good Fiora knows they can't get defense until they get their core items...and it may not be feasible even then, since she's one of the most item-dependent champs in the game for her awesome damage and said damage is all she brings to her team

  6. She's melee and uses mana...nuff said

Basically what you want to do is figure out if you are weak enough for her to dive safely or strong enough where she'll want to avoid trades and farm for late game. A bad Fiora will engage you even if you have the advantage and is free gold. A good Fiora will cut their losses if you get even a slight lead.

Since Fiora lives and dies by her income, the best way to counter her is to pick someone with strong early trades and then keep the minion line close to your tower. She has no projectiles whatsoever to poke or last-hit with so she can't really touch you and has to risk a beat-down just to try and farm. If you have a champ that can't beat her early then push the creeps straight into her tower and poke her while she scrambles to last-hit under her own tower.

Being ranged is a colossal advantage over Fiora. *Remember that her W has a cooldown - after she uses it just keep poking her and you will easily deal way more damage than the occasional parry does to you (especially as it is magic damage with an AP ratio so it might as well not scale at all...).

These guys just wreck my day:

Pantheon Darius Jax (only if you're really good - a good Jax is a nightmare but an average Jax can't stand up to a good Fiora) Singed Volibear Ziggs Lulu Malphite Xerath Riven (it's a skill match up but if Riven gets a lead on Fiora it's just over)

+1 thank you

get item 3075, it shreds Fiora, even her ult can't help her against it

she also gets rekt by hard cc

The QQ is strong in this post. Honestly I think you lost because you had a last pick support Nid build straight AP with barrier.

Im not going to lie my team was pretty horrible. but that does not exuse the fact that i can't play my favorite champs because the Riot balance team has a hard on for nipples and swords.

ten bucks says I can bye this champ and have tier 5 in 3 days

And hitting tier 5 means what? You played any character a bunch?

Tbh, please get her, play her and then look back at this post.

obviously a loss =1/10th the exp of a win

3 days

I get 30.000 exp in 3 days IS BROKEN and yes i will look back at this post and see her for what she is.

30000 experience, with an average loss giving 150-200.

Assuming the lower bound, you'd need 200 games lost in a row on her to get it. Assuming the upper bound, you'd need 150 games lost in a row on her to get it.

Assuming an average win gives 800-1200.

Assuming the lower bound, you'd need 38 (37.5) games won in a row on her to get it. Assuming the upper bound, you'd need 25 games won in a row on her to get it.

Let's say you have a 50% winrate, as I'm assuming after playing a champion for at least 25 matches you'd learn how to play them competently.

Your average would be 475-700 a game, meaning you'd need 64 (63.158) to 43 (42.857) games played.

The only thing holding you back at that point is the amount of time you have to play, not your skill with the champion. Seeing as you gain points based entirely on win/loss, not personal skill, you can easily get to rank 5 just by playing a lot of games with her. Unless you are absolutely horrible and got boosted to your current mmr your winrate should be ~50, meaning you could get rank 5 on any champion in ~43-64 games.

You just got Statistic-ed in your face. I hate Statistics but I know he's definitely talking about a Confidence Interval. God I hate those.

I haven't actually taken a Stats class, and my math is probably wrong somewhere. However, those are the average highs and lows I've seen in champion mastery; I have got some 1400+ wins, but those are very rare, and I've got same 200+ losses, though those are also rare. While the actual games played would probably be a bit higher (being worse at the champion for the first games where you don't know them) this gives a estimate of the amount of games needed.

uh "skill doesnt apply because your team can carry you or you boosted"

ASSUMING FIORA ISN'T THE CARRY WHICH WAS CLEARLY PRESENTED BY THIS 0/4/0 FIORA

take this in your brain or get the fuck off my thread

You didn't read what I said, did you? "Unless you are absolutely horrible and got boosted to your current mmr your winrate should be ~50, meaning you could get rank 5 on any champion in ~43-64 games."

Read. the. text. I'm not saying skill doesn't apply because you can get carried, because the chances of you winning by getting carried are equal to an opponent. If you were boosted, then yes, skill would apply because the teams were balanced around a higher MMR which a boosted person would not have, making their team have a disadvantage and thus a lower chance to win.

What I said though is that your winrate in general should be ~50% at this point, unless you are improving (in which case it would be above 50%) or getting worse (below 50%). That means you should win one out of every two games you play in; obviously this won't be the exact case (you will probably do worse the first games on a new champion), but it should be close. Additionally, assuming you aren't a feeder/troll/afk/toxic etc., your winrate should be even higher as that gives your team 4 different potentials bad players and the enemy team 5 (you control your actions, and if you are positive).

Champion skill is largely irrelevant to what tier you are. While someone highly skilled on a champion should have a higher winrate, someone who absolutely sucks at the champion will reach an mmr where they win/lose ~50%, and since gains are based on winning (NOT PERSONAL SKILL) the bad player will reach tier 5 in roughly the same time as the good player assuming they are at equilibrium MMR.

I apologize for my behavior and I do understand what you mean now.

but regardless of what is what

Fiora is in my bank now, and what I do will go into actual league statistics good or bad.
