@Riot about Lux and the Mage Update.

What are we going to see with the Update to her? I remember way back when she had gotten a move speed nerf due to her being too quick as a Utility mage. But I just wanted to hear if we were going to get a revert or if we were going to get something more in line of making her utilize more range.

Or will we see her utilize more light and vision since she is our very well known ~~Light~~ Ordinary Mage.

The Q buff was a VERY sweet thing, but let's be honest, that one came out from the left field when we were asking for a lowered cost on her E. But nonetheless it was a very nice buff.

Lux is an extremely toxic champion to play against. Let's be honest, if you are mele she will harass nonstop once she gets blue buff with her "skill shots". Yeah she is mana hungry but her snowballing, instagib combo, range, utility, awesome zoning, and CC is pretty overwhelming. I hope they rework so her Q isn't a giant hit box as it is. Maybe I am just really bad against Lux, but holy shit do I pray she is really bad every time I see her in a game.

I seriously doubt they're going to do anything to "update" her. She doesn't really need any changes to how she works. If they DID significantly change something, it likely wouldn't feel like Lux anymore. :|

My guess is that she won't get massive changes to her kit, I think that the update to items are going to affect her more. If anything it will something like Lucian level, something small but noticeable. She currently overlaps with Xerath (Poke mages, with low mobility but massive nuking power) but I find it more probable that he will get updated, and not her. However, what you are asking are for direct Lux buffs, that will not happen , that I can Garen-tea.

The real issue with lux is her sheild. It far too effective at covering the whole team in a big team fight - her damage is actually not that impressive compared to other mages. I'm saying this as a someone who has played a lot of lux and am good on her. Your issue should be the shield.

The question is this: what should be Lux's strategic niche? Maybe the vision mage really could be her thing, though I wonder if she has enough utility already.

Currently she is one of the premiere utility casters in the game. Maybe they'll push that to its limit. Hard to say. It's also entirely possible she won't be selected for the update at all.
