Take a page out of overwatch's book.
Let people pick roles then give an option to choose between a chance to autofill and no chance. SHOW ESTIMATED TIMES FOR BOTH. IMPORTANT.
This way people who dont mind autofilling but want to get in quick - get to do that. People who will straight up int becouse they autofilled - wont do that, but they'll wait a bit longer.
BOOM. People dont mind waiting as much as you think.
But that would make queue times for everyone longer, even those who are fine with getting autofilled occasionally.
I support this... I would much rather wait a few minutes more for a match then have to FFS at 15 because we got an auto filled jungler who has no idea what they should be doing..
give me quality games over quantity any day.
if you have a hard time waiting in que for an extra few.. then go see your doctor and get some meds.
only role I hate being auto filled into is top, but I love being auto filled support, I think my blitz is op, I just need to play him more.
Autofill used to be basically picking supp, but now its picking jungle. All I do is pick fill and I tend to primarily get jungle
