Matchmaking in Normals

I realize that normals are not matchmade very well, but it's frustrating to be a Silver player and get placed in lane against Diamond and Plats. It's demoralizing and makes the game un-fun. I realize playing against players of higher skill helps you improve, but there is a limit.

Playing basketball against a college basketball player isn't going to be fun for me or competitive. I'm not going to learn anything I'm just going to get smashed, all shots blocked, probably wouldn't even be able to dribble the ball without turning it over. League is no different except it makes it un-fun for 4 other people on my team who end up pissed at me for "feeding". I'm sorry but getting killed under turret for the 2nd time at the 4 minute mark? What am I supposed to do?

Playing anything where the skill disparity is so big there you can't even be competitive isn't fun.

I keep finding unbalanced games, nearly every time. Even when winning, it's a stomp, because of a smurf or some high elo players in only one of the teams.

Last game: against 4 premades, around Gold, all with 200+ Mastery points (not important maybe, but it shows that are old players); we, at most Silver, with some people with only 50 (fifty!) mastery points; and he was actually pretty new. Only 2 of us were premades, but not our botlane; we actually played pretty well there, but was frustrating, in the end.

This company doesn't care, because this problem is really well-known. So I just hope they'll pay the consequences, i.e. people playing far less :D

Premades screw over normal matchmaking.

If you are searching for competitive experience go Ranked, that's where people are around same elo and in average tryhard more than in normals. There is really nothing scary about going ranked.

It isn't getting matched against higher ranks in normals that ruins them for me.

It is the 5 man premade enemy team vs me and 4 random assholes that have no intention of cooperating and forming a strategy to win because "its normals" that ruins them for me.

Funnily enough, I have around 50 losses more than victories in Normals, even if I passively get gold since like forever. I guess that this disparity comes from the fact that many high-elo players don't even try in Normals.
