Put the AP BACK on Iceborn Gauntlet

As a / main, I really loved and would usually get it as my first completed item because has next to nothing after he has used his double bomb combo, which will not kill most champions, unless you build him super squishy which I usually did not do in mid because I like to build or to deal with the ridiculous damage output of most AP/AD Assassins. Having AP on was useful and provided me with a way to get AP and boost the auto-attacks of these champions and provide additional options in addition to my usual AP based skillshots.

But now Riot removed the AP element from for absolutely no reason because it was not OP by any standard but it also gave me the ability to deal better damage to turrets as well on both support and mid versions of these champions. Now, its just completely lackluster because it does not provide any vital early game AP on anymore?

Why?

Its not broken and it is certainly not broken like or so why change it? I really did love that item just the way it was for some good tanky stats and additional AP. There was absolutely no reason to remove it so can Riot revert that change?
