Is it possible to be overly critical, of a game that is focused around player decision making?

Some people say that i might be overly critical of gameplay when, I voice my criticism of decision making revolving around game play. My question is this, How can i be overly critical about decision making when the primary objective to the game is this?

It's like a game of chess, make a mistake you will be punished for it and, it is the combination of the players mistakes that decide the outcome for the said game.

For me personally, if i see someone making the same mistakes repeatedly. Even after being told what they are doing wrong. I question said individuals aptitude to play this game.

Just my opinion, What's yours?

Edit: Changed "Point" to "objective"

League of Legends playerbase, especially around lower ELOs aren't very keen to criticism. Often, they'll shut you down or start verbally abusing you if you try, or start calling out either your mistakes, or making up mistakes that you didn't do.

Unfortunately this kind of mentality goes all the way up to low Platinum, don't know why. I guess people just think they never do any wrong and have no idea how to take positive criticism.
