Not sure if this has been posted before, but there's an extremely nasty new duo-boosting strat made possible by the positional ranking system.

This is how it works. Lets say I'm a mid diamond top lane player, and I have a mid diamond jungle player duo with me. He puts his primary role as top, I put mine as jungle. This will match us against players of equal skill to whatever riot thinks our skill is in our selected roles. We then swap back to our mains in champ select, then win the game and collect our LP in our main roles.

I played a game with them, and the top laner was clearly originally jungling based off of his position on the scoreboard, and the jungler was originally top lane. As you can see, they pretty much exclusively play against low diamond and platinum players, yet are masters 200+lp with 65-80% winrates.

Riot already knew people would do this, which is why after doing so for about 3 games, the rank system picks up on this and matches you in even tougher games, as well as reduced LP splashing. it was even in the dev blog.

What the fuck even are these Rito apologizer post? The players linked have been doing it for 60+ games, it very clearly does not do what it's supposed to.

Yeah really surprised to see people not liking my post here. These guys are literally top 50 on the leaderboard, yet playing every single game with high plat-low diamond players.
