S rank but no fragments or chests?
Had 4 games where I got an S rank or somebody on my team did yet I received zero key fragments or chests. Is this a bug? Intended?

I'm pretty sure you have to be the one to score an S rank to unlock chests for yourself. Fragments are a little more random. (I'm not quite sure myself.)
Lastly, you can't earn chests or fragments, using champions you don't own.
If you look through your champions list on the client, you will see some champions have a colored chest and others grayed. If you get an S on the ones that have a grayed chest, you will receive a chest.
As for key fragments, I think they're completely random upon winning a game.
