Twitch The "Plague" Rat

Hey guys, I've been playing league for a while, and something has been bugging me for a while now. Specifically about Twitch, if the name of this post didn't tip you off.

Now, I've been a Twitch main for a while now, and I just want to say this isn't a post saying "Please make him good again!" or "Buffs when? he's so weak!" because I personally think he's in a pretty good spot right now, strength-wise.

No, this is about him not living up to his name as "The Plague Rat." Typically with a name like that, you'd expect most of his kit to revolve around causing and spreading disease. And to an extent, it is. Except for the fact that the disease he spreads does absolutely NOTHING.

Seriously, some champions have more health than the total amount of damage I have done to all champs during the course of an entire game with that passive. It doesn't feel good to use, I haven't killed anyone with it since season six, and at no point during the entire game does it feel like a factor at all. Most champs heal faster than twitch's passive can damage them.

And this is coming from a champion who's lore said he used his vile disease to melt his victims.

Please Riot, I just want to feel like his passive does something, like it's actually impacting the game in some fashion. If it's a problem with power and balancing, then I'm fine with taking some power from his other skills, if it means that he can live up to being "The Plague Rat." Take away his slow, or take AS from his Q, or even lower the ad buff from his ultimate. Just make it so that his passive feels like it actually does something again.

Now, I'm not just writing this to moan and complain, I actually do have a suggestion on this champ to not only make him live up to his namesake, but to also make him more engaging and interesting to play. Here is my suggestion on a possible rework of twitch's passive:

Passive: Deadly Venom. Instead of Twitch's auto attacks dealing damage as normal, they instead deal 10% of twitch's total ad and apply a stack of Deadly Venom. Deadly Venom stacks last for six seconds, and can stack up to six times. Adding a stack refreshes this duration. Deadly Venom deals 12%/14%/16%/18%/20% percent of his total ad as physical every second for each stack.

Obviously this would change a lot about the character and how he is played. It would also probably require changing his other abilities, namely his W, E and R, because he would no longer be doing much of his damage directly through his auto attacks. For that reason, here are some suggestions on his other abilities in conjunction with the reworked passive:

Q: Ambush. Basically unchanged. Maybe a higher attack speed buff, but that would require testing to see how balanced the new kit is.

W: Venom Cask. Since Twitch no longer does the majority of his damage directly through his autos, his venom cask becomes a far more important damage and zoning tool. Increase the duration it contaminates to five seconds, and decrease the slow it inflicts to 15%/20%/25%/30%/35%. Also, increase the mana cost to 80/90/100/110/120.

E: Contaminate Here, I would increase the damage that his E deals, but remove the AP scaling entirely. Let's have the champ commit to being a full ad champ, or not at all. Probably change the AD scailing to 25% of his ad, rather than 25% of his bonus ad, since this champ no longer does a whole lot of damage directly with his crossbow.

R: Spray and Pray Remove the AD increase entirely, since the damage Twitch does is now based around a time limit and how long he can keep stacks on the enemy. Increase the duration of the ultimate to 10/11/12/13/14 seconds, and the width of his shots would need to be increased as well.

Now, am I saying this is a perfect solution to Twitch's problem? Heck no. This is merely my suggestion to make the champion actually live up to his moniker as The Plague Rat. Suggestions on how I am an idiot and how I should just either accept the champ 'as is' or that I should stop playing the rat are welcome. Also, any thoughts from rioters would be most appreciated, even if it's a complete shutdown of my concept.Twitch
