Broken matchmaking.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, or if it's just me, but does matchmaking seem a little broken? Seriously, I don't think the game measures skill level at all. Just win ratio.

Example: I've just gotten (not in a row, but pretty close together). Three S or S- ranks. In my last game, I got 25 kills and 7 deaths. AND WE STILL LOST. In fact, most of my recent losses have been because of trolls, feeders, or people just up and leaving the game. And with a score like 25/7/8 in my last game, I know for a fact that it wasn't my fault.

They SAY that if you're skilled enough, you'll rise to the top like cream in milk, but I frankly don't believe it. This is a TEAM game, and a single bad player can screw up the entire game. And if you're telling me that the game 'matches people according to their skill,' all I can do is laugh in your face. Because how am I, someone who is freaking on point with a k/d/a of 25/7/8 in my last game, at the same skill level with someone who abandons the game at the first moment that someone else gets a kill on our team? That doesn't make any freaking sense!

Seriously, riot, please fix the system. It doesn't measure skill, it measures wins. And a few bad games can get you locked into an endless cycle with people who feed, troll, abandon, or are just generally BAD. DOTA's matchmaking is better than this, and they made the moba first. Couldn't you maybe take a few pointers from them?

Well, whatever. Just salty about constantly losing. The thing is, is if it were my fault, I would accept it. I would GLADLY accept a loss that was completely my bad. But these recent games have not been my fault!

Well... just bitching into the endless void of the internet, I guess. Most who read this will probably just roll their eyes and thing 'ugh, bronze complaining about being bronze again.' Thing is, is if you don't understand why I'm complaining, you've obviously never been stuck in bronze.

It's honestly making me want to quit league. It's not fun anymore. Not because I'm losing, but because I'm getting trolled by the system itself. Like I said, if it were my fault, I'd gladly take the lumps. But in this case, I don't think it's my fault.

Yeah I smurf alot and get bullshitted out of wins that are free duo to clear mm problems. Just dont play at night/morning its gets super bad.

I've recently run into the same thing. I'm not skilled by any means but I seem to climb to around 80LP in Silver 1 then get consistently matched with people who are in promotional series, leave match, afk in the beginning or rage because they gave up first blood, say in chat that they don't want to win because they want to stay in silver, have never played the champion they are on and ask about abilities and builds throughout the match or simply complain the whole match. While this has happened before sporadically and is something that the report function should help with it seems like once I get to that point it's the same thing. Recently went 20/5/11 and lost. I can't even call the majority of these matches decent games. I thought my account might have been flagged for some reason and I contacted riot about it but they just sent me some bullshit saying that the match making system sets people up with equivalently skilled players and takes into account their win/loss ratio in the currently league. I don't know how I had a 63% win ratio and was matched with someone who was 9/30 in ranked matches. I'd like to just say that this is a random occurrence but as I've been in Silver 1 and been to the 80+lp point 5 times within the past 3 weeks I can no longer say that it's random. It always hits at the same point. I firmly believe Riot no longer cares about the players experience and only cares about the money they get.
