My feelings about the game currently
It's just a perspective that I wanted to share - not meant to be a complaint.
It's crazy to think that all the time and money (since end of S4) that I have spent in this game gets quickly dismantled in a few short months (not entirely sure what the exact cause would be). Whether the feeling of displacement is due to the volatile nature of the game, the demographic of players, or an aggregation of all different reasons, I've lost all fun and desire to play anymore. I'll play something here and there just to feel like I can get my money's and time's worth in, but otherwise, I've truly lost the motivation to care about playing at this point. I used to love this game up until this season and I'm just going though stages of denial everyday. Anyway, just my two cents on where I am, but I don't think I will play this anymore. It was fun while it lasted.
Stages of Denial:
- Stop playing ranked entirely
- Play Norms with a friend
- Starting to just hate the game
- Become an ARAM-only
- Stop watching competitive and stop caring about competitive
- Play a Co-op just to get the win of the day
- Keep telling yourself that it's about the money and time
- Quit playing for a while
