Why wouldn't I quit playing?

I've played league for about 5 years now. I'm a pretty dedicated player. I've been ranked in silver for the past 3 seasons after season-long climbs out of bronze. Every season it's the same. I win placement matches, (6/4) this season and then am placed in bronze. This season, after carrying one match 27/7 and most of the others I won, I was seeded B4. I consistently play well and I don't flame and I have a high winrate. Yet I'm seeded B4. This gets old after the 3rd time and now I'm pretty convinced this game is a complete waste of time. I played a smurf account in EU over the last semester and was playing with gold players and competing on the same level. The fact that the system seems intent on keeping me in bronze is immensely frustrating given the time Ive dedicated to learning matchups, perfecting mechanics, and making smart plays. All it seems to do is encourage either buying elo (which is inane), being content in bronze and sweating all season to get silver, or quitting.
Where is the reward for dedicating so much time to the game? For climbing out of bronze every season for the past 4. For having a silver elo. How did I get placed B4? Why should I bother to keep playing this broken system?

Real replies appreciated (especially from riot), trolls are inevitable. Thanks,

I've been in same position as you, tho November will be @ 2 years of playing. It doesn't matter if I tried to carry my team in the end the majority of my ranked matches are little kids that don't know how to play, ward etc. It's funny the ones getting fed are exactly smurfs that have like only 2 rune pages.

This 1 smurf was usingSinged & yet this Tryndamere fed him so much that he was just trolling all game delaying the inevitable. His name was IMain______ (you might as well fill in the blank). So obvious smurf accounts are screwing up the whole league of legends matchmaking system.

Two things I have in response:

  1. You can't compare different servers/regions. I worked in asia for a year and played in garena server, and while their player base population is extremely, extremely small compared to NA, I couldn't find a single "new" player; everyone pretty much knows what they're doing and the only thing dividing them into different leagues is understanding of what they can get out of any situation. A bronze over there is probably equivalent to gold V in NA.

  2. I would pay, literally, to be in your situation. Having skills enough to be rated high elo, yet being placed in lower league so you can stomp keds, carry, and make yourself feel good and important? That's precisely what I'm yearning for +_+

I can not remember where it was. However, I do remember a Riot Article or Post stating that even if you win 10/10 placements you'll never get seeded in the same tier you were last year. Especially this year, with the huge season changes they brought with it, there's more to learn, and are going to be (at least at the start with meta changes) not as good as you were at the previous season's Summoner's Rift.
