Gold promos question

I would like some feed back or recommendations on what to do here. My main concern is getting trolls. My three questions are

1. Should I duo with someone below my rank, but risking the odds of getting more trolls on my team
2. should I duo with someone in my rank or higher
3. should I just solo q and pray to the rito gods that I dont get trolls or afker or kiddies or full retards picking op champs they never played

I want to make it to gold, i think i deserve to get into gold, but the cesspool of negative players who will just troll your game so that you dont win your promos is too high. I hate those kiddies who think they are the gate keepers. What makes me upset is that I have yet to be carried by anyone or have won a game bc of an enemy afking. Yet I have suffer so many of these of my team. I would love to at least once say thank you to a team player for carrying me. Its hard carrying every game and frustrating. Specially when one play picks a role and champ they never played b4. Or focus too much on countering that they dont even know wtf they are doing.
