Is he viable?

Can't vote "Depends on Skill Level"

I'd say all the champs are viable (some are just more viable than others <3), as long as you know what you're doing to a god tier level of understanding and your team knows how to work with/around you. Like, if you play a ADC Rengar, AP Support Shaco bot lane, as long as you know what you're doing you'll be fine bot lane. If your team decides to pick up the poke in the mid lane (Xerath, Lux, Kog), and you get a beefier top and jungler to compensate, your team fights will be pretty balanced. Or the other plethora of options, as long as your team is comfortable with their champs, you'll be good to go.

I played ONE SINGLE GAME recently as Lucian, and I personally felt kind of weak, but we were behind and I was doing okay, I guess. But I've been playing lots and lots of MF recently (from mastery 3 to 7 in 4 days), and her damage output when played right is very high. And I feel like with Lucian, it's the same deal, if you play him right, he can do lots of damage. He has way higher mobility than most ADCs, so he's a safer pick too (MS on-hit buff, dash), but he lacks any form of CC at all, hard or soft. With the right support (Hard CC to compensate), he should be viable. But I wouldn't trust him in solo queue, unless you're really confident.

TLDR; Unless you're confident with your Lucian, Support or Team, wouldn't do it by yourself.

He is incredibly weak. Ive played about 25 games on him this season, and while I have a good win-rate on him (61%), I don't feel like I had any impact in a single one of those games. Not one. I was just kinda there. It didnt matter how well I did, or if I fed or got fed. I had nearly zero impact when if I played any of the other ADCs that I play, I would have carried with similar items, or at least had some kind of noticeable impact on the game.

I'm not even lying. I've played a lot of champs, roles, whatever in this game, and current Lucian literally feels like a placeholder in a game. I have more impact as any support I play, any tank top, anyone. As Lucian, I just survive lane and farm, and become a McDamage Dealer that doesnt really do any real damage and I'm basically just there. Thats how I felt for all 30 games; even the ones i got super fed and got kills. Even those games, I felt like those kills were gifted to me, or it was my team making all the plays. Compared to playing Jhin/Jinx/MF/Ezreal/anyone.

I may still play him some just because I got so many games on him, but hes just weak and not only is he weak, he has zero pressure or impact on a game. Even weak ADCs win-rate wise can get farmed and FEEL important to the game. He just doesn't. Its a weird feeling, and I've played him when he sucked before and he had good scaling then and good laning so even weak he still felt impactful to a game. He doesnt right now. Just a bland, placeholder McDamage-type champ that can't hard carry so you are basically just "there." Only way I can describe it.
