I'm not going to worry about Shen until i actually play him on the live server

I been hearing about the new rework and we already got people complaining , saying that he's weaker than is old design . They would also say something like "Shen's simple kit was what made Shen great his new spirit sword is clunky and hard to get used to R.I.P Shen". I don't want to worry about Shen till i actually play him on the live server cause riot could still change some things about the new rework. Shen is my favorite tank and i want to keep playing him because he's a easy and a fun champ to master.

I've been trying him out to get used to his E and R. He's slowly becoming a fav of mine with my only complaints being that his Q feels clunky (I'm sure the Shen mains will school me for this) and the lack of CDR itemization (which makes sense since his limited energy pool wouldn't be well supported by constant spamming. But I just want it for his ult).

If I can't play his rework top, I'll probably make him one of my junglers.

Shen has always been a favorite in the top lane and was always a rarity anywhere else. Shen used to have a difficult time in the jungle but recently i have been hearing that the new Shen is a better jungler than a top laner which is going to be weird for the people who main him . I will agree after watching the new Shen the q looks pretty tricky to pull off but we need to give riot some times to put in the finishing touches to his new kit before we make a final decision . Also don't worry about items his rework is new so you won't get too much grief from them .

It looks like the only thing that would change in his build is the removal of spirits visage and wits end.

Shen has some of the weirdest builds I've seen. Despite having no AD scalings or much need to build attack speed, having such an item really benefits him. Hell I've even used AD and AS runes that worked better than my AP runes (I don't play AP tanks often. So I use my AP runes when I do. Works well most of the time).

Smart you! Having played him, its different but not so different you can see the similarities. E and R are essentially unchanged. Without a doubt Q is the hardest thing to get used to and i agree there should be more too it but now he is definitely less point and click!

I've seen some matches where Shen is using the new spirit sword i'll admit the idea that a spiritual sword that can slow , give you attack speed, and even provide a dodge area is interesting, but it seems like the spirit swords relies too much on positioning . Like you said the Q will be the hardest thing to master and i think this is scaring the Shen mains a bit.
