How do I get a chest?

I haven't had one since April and have had numerous S games.I know i can buy them but I was thinking I was supposed to be able to earn them.

You can only earn 1 chest per champion per season. If you look in your profile you'll see 4 chest slots on the right. Gold chests indicate you can earn a chest, and if it's greyed out you'll need to wait a week to generate a new one (then earn it by getting an S on a champion you haven't earned one on before).

You can see which champions you've already earned one on in your Champion page in your profile. A gold border indicates you got one already on it, and hovering the champion you can see a chest icon as well. You will also be able to earn chests if a premade ally gets an S grade, but you earn it for the champion you are on and you can't have already gotten it before.
