What happened to XIn knock up?

I main and love playing him,especially when paired with but since this last patch has come out the only thing i can knock up with talon strike is minions.Not champs,not monsters,hell not even the lowly scuttle crab.I mean I see the spears upswing but the targets just stay on the ground. At first I thought it was just a visual thing but then after noticing I can knock minions in the air I think it must be something else. I went back and looked through the patch log and saw nothing about Xin in it.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?Like I said it only started after this last patch.
