Xayah and Rakan are AMAZING
See I just wanted to say that I love Riot for making these two. They are literally thee perfect duo (I know that's what they're meant to be.) But just the sight of them playing on the same team whether it be you and an ally or the enemy team is inspiring. I currently only own Rakan, I usually don't play a lot of adc, only when absolutely necessary. But Rakan... he is amazing, there is no other word to describe him. Well maybe annoying to the enemy team. I'm in no way, shape, or form a "God" with Rakan, I just really enjoy playing him and I seem to do mildly "okay" with him.
So I wanted to talk about his moves.
His passive:
I love the fact that he has a "built in" shield. It comes in very handy and it's not super overpowered because the time limit is like... 30-40 seconds after it is damaged away. (Correct me on the time) And also when paired with Xayah, when you recall the two come together and actually split the time it takes to go back to the Nexus. Which maybe a little odd but I think it's a great addition.
His Q: I like how it has to be a skill-shot. But I wish the range was just a tad farther. From what I've played just a little bit father could've made a huge difference. When coming in contact with a friendly, or when the time runs out you will heal yourself/anyone inside the radius I do believe. But overall, fairly balanced. Nothing too crazy, also doesn't do a crazy amount of damage.
His W:
Probably the most tilting thing about him is this ability. You dash from quite a ways away and jump up in the air knocking up any enemy(ies) in the radius of the ability. But there have been times where the hitbox doesn't register and the champs just walk right out of it like nothing... saved their lives. But other than that it can change the tide of battle if you hit it properly. It also does a bit of damage. I have been known to accidentally steal a kill from my teammate when using this not realizing what the enemy health is at.
His E:
This ability is one of my favorite things about him. I really enjoy being able to dash to an friendly from a ways away and shield them for a temporary amount of time, and not only that but you can do it again within like... 5 seconds after that for no extra mana. Which has also allowed me to cheat death more times than one. Especially if you get hit with a Morgana
stun... sitting there for a couple of seconds then dashing away to your ally. But one thing that I don't think that you can do is dash to a minion. I think I tried a few times and it didn't work. I didn't know if it would ever be implemented because that would be just like Yasuo's E except it would be a little farther and it would allow him to use the mobility that he truly deserves.
His R(Ult):
His ultimate is one of my favorite ultimates in the game. You don't really notice it in a big team fight because everything is so hectic. But if it's a 1v2 or 2v2 you can really notice when you see him dash for you and charm you for a second whilst the adc starts poking your life away. I'm really glad Riot decided not to overpower the charm. Anything more than a second and a half is becoming a little ridiculous. coughcough* Morgana
But anyway, I also don't believe that it does any damage. And if it does it's so insignificant that I've never noticed it.
I really hope this has benefited anyone reading this. I hope that if you are on the fence about buying him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who loves to play support. And while your at it convince one of your friends to pick up Xayah.
Some last thoughts I have on him are:
I really like the communication between him and Xayah. They are madly in love with each other and they definitely show it on the field. (Recall) When they aren't in the same game they speak differently than they would of they were standing next to each other, and I really love that. I love his animations. His rose animation is very amusing. And his "I'm not gonna kill ya... she is" quote makes me laugh every time.
So out of 10 I would definitely give Riot a 10. They really outdid themselves on these champs.
Great work, and I can't wait to see more. :)
