Where Is My LP???

I just won a ranked game me and my teammate got 10 lp instead of 20-19 what's up with that?? Our mmr is good and we can't just decline after 3 winstreak from getting 20 to 10. Can a Rioter explain this?

Sometimes it matches you up vs players that it expects you to win vs. When that happens, you get less LP. If that gain is consistent then it means that your Rank has reached your MMR.

Other times it's just a random less LP game.

True there are games where you get less lp but that's escalation of 1-2 max 4 not 10-12

If you track all your LP gains/losses on paper games with strange LP will show up. It'll happen for sure if there's loss prevented (prob already knew that), but it'll also happen if there's a super long queue and the matchmaking system will be like "f it, let's get them in game" and give like no LP for the game.

Sometimes it's worth to restart the queue then.

Hoping it doesn't persist for you guys though.
