Big Support Update?

So, I know it'd take a whole lot of effort, but would Riot consider doing a huge overhaul on supports as a class in general, similar to the Juggernauts, Mages, Marksman, and Assassin? I know it's a much more vague class since a slew of different play patterns involve being a support, but couldn't it be focused on all at once like that?

Anyone have ideas for this? I know the biggest goal would be to make sure support is a much more appealing role to play by making it over all satisfying. I know Riot also hates that the role doesn't get much praise, so maybe that's up in the air.

It doesn't have to just be champions either. Items and stats could be tossed around like a damn party. Just wondering if we'll ever get a nice support update, since it's kinda 1/5 of the game.
