Why is AP Nidalee so bad?

There's actually no real way to play this champion anymore. The first two clears are so garbage, they don't even compare to champions like . Her spears do as much damage without building AP as they would with it. If you're wanting to do damage as Nidalee, it seems to me like you're forced into two paths:

Tank or Any other jungle enchantment Tank

I really wish Riot would give her a purpose in the jungle, or revert her back to a mid laner.

They need to decide what she is and what she does. This gameplay of 'I hope they don't dodge spear' is stupid.
