Is there any reason why Kindred's ultimate has a really long cooldown?

It affects both teams even if you use it doesn't mean that you won the fight, yet it has a 3-minute cd on lvl 1 and 2-minute on lvl 3. Comparing this to kayle ultimate which only affects teammates positively there is no negative effect on it, and also does damage: on lvl 1 160 sec on lvl 3 80 sec.

Maybe a lower cooldown would make the ult better. there are just too many damaging ultimates on much lower cooldowns that makes Kindred ultimate pretty bad since you can't really counter any of it because of the long cd.

Because it can work on your entire team? The utility of it being able to work on 5 people is why the CD is so much longer.

Because it has the potential to completely reverse the direction of a fight in and of itself. The fact it can potentially save enemies doesnt change its upside that it can completely nullify an enemy all in when used properly, and in higher ELOs it will mostly be used properly.
