Is there a way to hide my mastery points?

I always get flamed when I play bad and "you have such high mastery points why aren't you carry us". This feature is so useless and creates even more bad behavior. Make an option to hide it.

I can't play my favourite champion because of this...

Getting flamed for every game, or getting camped because the enemy sees that I'm experienced with the champ is so annoying.

This so bad... Really annoying, especially so when I didn't win lane... Here comes the.. 'You have _ Mastery points, why aren't you a god?' So annoying..

And you can really tell when the enemy don't want you to get ahead, i.e the jug literally babysits the enemy lane, to point, they start losing other lanes cause he tunnel visions your lane..

I too would like to see it removed. Would be nice if mastery points just capped off at what's needed to reach 5, honestly.

I have almost 900k on Nautilus and I've never had someone whine and complain if I don't have a good game. I like that mastery is there so I can quickly see how much experience someone has, I don't expect them to carry if they're a one-trick.

I have 1kk Draven, most of the times i have 4ppl in enemy team that play mainly around me with their ganks roams and TP s.

Really annoying, specially the part where after laning phase enemies start to harrass me with things like '1kk draven lol' for being behind and it works tho.

This fkin sucks.

I have the some problem. I have 4.5 million points on my fav champ and enemy champs gang me often just because of that. 5 vs 1 . I wish that option get hided or removed.

A lot of you think this is a joke, imagine having almost 3 mil on a specific champ. People see that and automatically assume: You "WILL" carry, You need zero ganks, You are bad for losing lane (regardless if you practically have a constant 1 vs 3 situation - as stated before just opens the gate for toxicity). It doesn't matter who checks how many mastery points you have, the point is that they do and as soon as they do it becomes public knowledge for the entire lobby. Yeah op.gg shows that but before this whole system was implemented how many people really did that...very few, and for the few that have defended this I have personally checked their play history which clearly shows either they aren't of a decent mastery to experience this or don't play a primary position where this will matter.

./muteall is an option

Other than that, I think it is good that mastery points show. It's information based on which you can alter your play style. Brings a bit more strategy into the game which is nice.

I wouldn't mind if they removed it from normal blind though. Cause it's a fuckfest anyway

It just shows that Mastery Points means nothing.

Iv seen a 2 million mastery Yi Jungler that died two times to jungle camps. Did nothing but Lane ganks (that all failed) and we lost.

What would be better is a show of Average Champ Rating (S+,S, S-,A+,ect) and number of games played

So like

Mastery 7 (A-) 984

This way I can tell that M7 (B-) 2794 is not to be trusted while the M7 (S-) 94 is.

You are quite literally a Kindred otp, it doesn't matter if they see how many mastery points you have, your name and op.gg both say you can only play kindred

O noes a number that appears as if I must do good just cause I play a champ alot!!

Muting is a good option, as well as just ignoring them. There will always be something where some says "can we disable xxx cause people are harassing me" but they can't just do that to solve every last problem.

rofl at people wanting to be carried, pathetic.

Hey there should be a way for you to turn off mastery points so you don't know what others mastery points are.

Turning off yours? NO.

I 100% agree, it is really annoying when people comment on your mastery points, whether you are having a good day, or a bad day, once they see your mastery points, all kinds of annoying comments start popping up. Riot should give people the option to hide this, and only display the mastery level.

Brandotron1/2/2020, 8:52:56 PM1 votes

I agree and would love to see the actual number of points removed or at least have the option to hide. I like to play casually, a game or two at night after work to unwind. However, after 10 years of that, the mastery points really stack up and this always leads to taunts and troll-speak from my team and the opposing team. Yes, I can and do occasionally mute, but it is still an annoyance.

Also, playing a top main is hard enough to get a jungler to gank, even through I always set it up with a pushed in lane...it is MUCH worse with the high mastery points as it gives the jungler another reason to ignore you and leave you on an island.

Yes, I know that I just have to adjust my game play when these things happen, and I do. It just would be nice to have the option to hide the actual number to remove this annoyance...and honestly, that would be such an easy thing to fix. Thx for the consideration.
