Like really. I've been playing a lot of mages recently, and you are either forced into Luden, or into Rylai. Abyssal Scepter is getting picked a lot. Midgame starts so fast you are in the terrible need of more combat-efficient items. And i really can't find anyone except AP ezreal who builds it efficiently.

Handy Sandy 1 votesWorks great on Karthus, Cassiopeia, Syndra, Ziggs, Annie, Orianna...It's the 2nd best damage item besides rabadon's, it would go good with pretty much any mage champ.

I usually get it on alot of mages and the shield makes you really tanky and can save you from a lot of stuff while the AP it gives you is just so good, I can end up with over 800 AP if I decide to get it.
