Let's talk about our favorite embodiment of war, Aatrox. Now Aatrox really likes the idea that war is eternal, never ending, always gonna be there and happening, but he doesn't really get the point across with his kit. Let's take a look at it

Passive: Your abilities fill up your blood well, when the blood well is full you get "Hellbent" and attack fast and hard as long as you stay in combat. Passive: If you die while you're Hellbent you get to revive Q: Jump in, knock stuff up, fills 20% of your blood well W: EveryThirdAuto™ you can heal for a percentage of your health or do extra damage and fills 20% of your blood well E: Shoot some lasers that slow and fills 20% of your blood well R: AOE damage, attack speed and range steroid

Aatrox is a commie. Sounds great on paper, but doesn't work in practice. So where are his problems? He's got two major ones Corruption and inability to adapt to supply and demand... wait nvm that's still communism Situational is a TahmKench deciding if they want to use their grey health as a shield or let it drain back into health. Situational is a Kayn wanting to hold out four minutes to get their other form. Aatrox's revive passive is what I would call conditional, and that's really bad for his gameplay. This condition is that you need to be Hellbent to use your passive. The Hellbent effect drains really fast. It offers no protection from say a Jinx rocket picking you off from across the map after winning a narrow fight top lane, or the jungler coming in to finish you off. You can't get your blood well back up that fast. It needs to create the illusion that he is the embodiment of war as he defines it, eternal, never ending, always gonna be there and happening. So how do we fix this problem? Just make it so you don't have to be Hellbent to revive. There are champions who have two passives Yasuo, Azir (Formerly), Bard . So what's wrong with having another champion with two passives?

His second problem is his W. The only way that this ability could be worse if it reset when you changed targets like Vayne. In Vayne's case that's balancing, I wouldn't want a Vayne being able to buy Runnan's, but I digress. It's got a good design, choosing sustain or damage, but the problem is once again, his passive. You only get blood well points from your damaging ability. If you're sustaining, you're not gonna be getting your passive up. Using only auto attacks, on every third hit, it would take 15 auto attacks to get your passive. Just jumping in with your Q and using E gives you 40% of your passive. It would still take nine autos to activate your passive. You know how Aatrox, being the embodiment of war, should be eternal, never ending, always gonna be there and happening? Why don't we just get rid of a section of his passive, make each ability fill 25% of the blood well.

The whole point of a skirmish is to catch them when they don't want to fight, so here's what you do with Schizy's Buffed/Reworked Aatrox™. You're over here at 0 blood well points, autoing minions for sustain. You're about to land your third auto when your enemy laner gets out of position, You switch to your W's damage portion, get 25%, jump in, get 25% shoot some lasers, get 25%. Whack'em three more times (they're knocked up and slowed, remember?) to fill your blood well. NOW YOU CAN COMMIT. Pop that Ghost summoner 6, use your Cutlass item 3144, do what ever, they're gonna be running because they got out of position and now an auto attack based champion is on them, and is swinging a giant sword really fast.

Tl;Dr We fix Aatrox by having his abilities give more stacks for his passive and separating his two passives.
